Fremantle have a lot of ass kissing to do.
For a team with more than 40,000 members, they were in risk of only having 20,000 come this week’s match had they lost to Gold Coast last week. There aren’t enough words to describe just how badly they played against one of the league’s minnow teams.
This week, they have a chance to make up for it when they take on Port Adelaide at home. They need to stamp their authority on a team that is struggling to defend against their coach. They might have had some honourable losses this season, but honourable losses are still losses, and the Dockers would be prepared for them to come out firing and prove that they can win games.
The Dockers seem to wait too long to get their act into gear. They play lethargically in the first half, then its as if they realise they’re behind and need to step their foot on the gas to move back in front. If they did this from the beginning, they could be sitting in a completely different situation at this point of the season and a lot higher up the ladder. In saying that, I think the Dockers will play for their fans this week and bring out another win.
My prediction: Fremantle by 22.
